Arsenal vs Fulham Live: Premier League 2022-23, ARS 2-1 FUL – Mitrovic made Gabriel twice commit the same mistake and Fulham were taken by surprise. Odegaard was Arsenal’s best player on the pitch today and he started Arsenal’s comeback as his deflected shot went past Leno. Leno made six saves today but he wasn’t strong enough in the air to stop Arsenal’s winner as Gabriel made up for his earlier mistake by scoring from close range. Arsenal vs Fulham Live: Gunners continue 100% win record in 2022-23 Premier League season
Victory for the Gunners in Mikel Arteta’s 100th Premier League game made it four out of four in the top flight this season and put them back at the top of the table.
Arsenal got off to a promising start with the ball rolling and Granit Xhaka was on target to volley into the penalty area after being set up by Gabriel Jesus.
Leno was called into action again early in the second half, turning away Odegaard’s drive and deflecting a shot past the lively Jesus.
It was Fulham who took the lead 11 minutes into the second half courtesy of a gift from Gabriel, who was made to pay for a push on the ball when Mitrovic dispossessed him and outpaced Aaron Ramsdale.
Gabriel’s winner helped the Gunners beat Fulham 2-1 at the Emirates
Arsenal were level eight minutes later, though, when Odegaard’s superb left-footed shot deflected off Tosin Adarabioyo.
Mitrovic almost restored Fulham’s lead with a powerful header that tested Ramsdell’s reaction and Ben White’s block failed to follow Bobby de Cordova-Reid.
Eddie Nketiah flashed a shot wide of the far post and fired straight at Leno under Arsenal pressure, but Gabriel pushed over from close range as the Fulham keeper tried to deal a corner from the left.
Nathaniel Chalobah could have grabbed a point, but Ramsdale denied him to secure maximum points in Arsenal’s promising start to the campaign.
