Kildare’s Mikey Pender wins Land Rover Puissance, the highlight of Saturday’s action at the 2022 Dublin Horse Show.

Riding the 15-year-old stallion Harton Du Bois Hallex, Pender secured his fourth Five Star win at this year’s Dublin Horse Show.

The only combination to clear the wall in the fifth round was Pender and Harton du Bois Hallex, when it stood at 2m20 (7 ft 2 in).

Daniel Coyle shared second place with Just Happy Hero Jade and Commandant Geoff Curran of the Irish sport horse Bishop’s Quarter. Both combinations picked up four faults in the final round of the competition.

Tipperary riders Trevor Brain and Jermaine W took the 1m50 Dublin Stakes, clearing in 36.00 seconds in the jump off.

Mark Macauley and Jasco VD Bishop finished second in 36.23 seconds, and third place went to French rider Megan Moisonnier and Bracadabra in 36.35 seconds.

Richard Hawley and Chinook won the Royal Dublin Society Stakes. Jordan Cowell and Picador were runners-up and third place went to Brazil’s Yuri Monsour and Awe Semili.
